Inclusive Checked Bags - Main Terminal

This service is suitable for guests travelling on Air Canada, Air Transat, Biman, Egyptair, Ethiopian, Etihad Airways, Finnair, Icelandair, Indigo, Juneyao, Norse, Pegasus, Qatar Airways, Royal Air Maroc, Royal Jordanian, Ryanair, Saudia, Singapore Airlines, SunExpress, TAP Air Portugal or TUI with checked baggage.

You’ll drop your bags at the main terminal, after which we’ll provide a complimentary transfer to aether. Your service includes access to the aether lounge for up to three hours before your scheduled flight, the Adam Reid Dining Experience, and a selection of inclusive alcoholic and soft drinks.

You’ll also enjoy access to our private security checkpoint and a chauffeured transfer to your departure gate, where your airline will complete final checks before boarding.

Unfortunately, this service isn’t suitable for airlines whose check-in desks open 2.5 hours or less before departure, as this would not allow enough time to enjoy your full aether experience.

You’ll begin by dropping your baggage at the main terminal. Once complete, we’ll transfer you to aether, where you can relax and enjoy all the lounge facilities. Our Host will let you know when it is time to go through security screening. Normal UK security rules will apply. After security you will be chauffeured to your departure gate where your airline will perform final checks and you will board as normal.

We’ll contact you up to three days before your travel date to confirm your pickup time. This must be scheduled at least 2.5 hours before your flight departure. To make the most of The Dining Experience by Adam Reid, we recommend allowing three hours before departure. Pickups usually take place on the terminal forecourt or in an adjoining car park, just a short walk from the terminal.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to expedite the airline check-in process. 

Some airlines charge a fee if you check-in and collect your boarding passes at the airport desk. However, you can usually check-in online for free and take your bags to a dedicated bag drop desk. To avoid any additional fees, we recommend completing your check-in online and using the bag drop option at the airport. 

The journey typically takes 8–12 minutes, though this may vary depending on traffic conditions.

Your pickup time will be set for at least 2.5 hours before your flight departure. 
If your check-in takes longer than expected, your time at aether may be reduced. In cases where there’s insufficient time, you may need to continue your journey through the main terminal instead.

If you plan to arrive in your own vehicle, please note the following:

• Departing through aether but returning via the main terminal:
  We recommend booking parking at the main terminal through the Manchester Airport website. 

• Departing and returning through aether:
  Parking at aether must be pre-booked, which you can do here. On the day of travel, please drive to aether, park, and we will provide complimentary transport to the main terminal to complete your check-in formalities and return you to aether afterward.

If you are arriving by chauffeur, taxi, public transport or being dropped off, please proceed directly to the main terminal. After you have checked in, we will transfer you to aether.
